Between the glazed hall of the restaurant (50 seats) and sea there is a large terrace (80 seats) adorned with aquarium in which there are all sorts of fish species from Adriatic sea.
Restaurant ”Zal” gastro offer is primarily based on fish and seafood dishes and other authentic dishes of the island of Krk.
Our guests can enjoy dishes prepared of fresh white and blue fish, crustaceans and molluscs as well as the meat and pasta dishes such as the well known indigenous specialty of the island of Krk called ”šurlice” and ”makaruni” (handmade pasta) which we prepare by ourselves.
Thanks to this combination of seafood, gastro offer of the region and inherited and preserved traditional recipes, there are some dishes form our offer we would like to single out: ”šurlice” (handmade pasta) with shrimps, ”brudet”/brodeto (fish stew) made of Cuttlefish with macaroni (croatian ”makaruni”) or with polenta, Monkfish in gravy made of ”Žlahtina” (quality dry white wine produced from an autochthonous variety, the white žlahtina), risotto with shrimps or with asparagus and whitefish with potatoes baked in the oven.
For dessert we recommend you authentic cake of the island of Krk called ”Presnoc” (made of homemade sheep cheese) with a glass of homemade champagne.
